PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioner, preventing the freezing of a heat exchanger during heating operation while securing a storage space for a receiver and an oil separator which should be size-increased or additionally provided. SOLUTION: An outdoor unit 1 has the heat exchanger 3 formed in an approximate L-shape facing one side face and the back face thereof and a partition plate 4 provided on the other side face and formed on an extension line of a side plate 3a of the heat exchanger 3. The partition plate 4 partitions a machine room 11 which stores a compressor 5, etc., from an air circuit 13 in which the heat exchanger 3 and a fan motor support 16 for supporting a fan motor 15 are arranged. In the air circuit 13, the receiver 18 is arranged in a first space (d) formed by a portion of the heat exchanger 3 at the opposite side to the partition plate 4 and the fan motor support 16 and the oil separator 22 is arranged in a second space (e) formed by the heat exchanger 3, the partition plate 4 and the fan motor support 16. Thus, partial freezing is prevented while securing the storage space for the receiver 18 and the oil separator 22 which are to be size-increased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
