An ambulatory device (2) comprising a frame (4) having support rails (8), two large rear wheels (16) containing hand grasps (18), two small front wheels (14) for steering, a foldable seat (22) allowing the user to sit when desirable, and a height-adjustable support frame (24) having a vertical (26) and horizontal section (28) rising from the frame (4). A body halter (56) holding the user is optionally rotatably supported by a horizontal support bar (62) which is connected by connector ropes or cables (64) to a T-shaped support bar (32). Alternatively, the body halter (56) is directly connected to connector ropes (64) which pass by pulleys (88) or through horizontal tubular sections to attach to a scale (66). The support frame (24) is made height adjustable by a winch (68) or a hydraulic system (52). |
