<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination method for reproduced power of a laser beam applied to an optical recording disk, the method realizing recording and reproducing of data constituted of a recording mark string including recording marks and blank regions between adjacent recording marks even when the length of the recording mark and the length of the blank region are shorter than a resolution, thereby reralizing an increase in recording capacity. <P>SOLUTION: The determination method for reproduced power of the laser beam comprises a step for setting the power of the laser beam L to be a recommended recording power Pw' and forming the recording mark string including at least one of the recording mark and the blank region having the length shorter than the resolution limit on a recording disk 1 to record test data, a step for setting the power of the laser beam L to be a recommended reproducing power Pr' and reproducing the test data recorded on the optical recording disk 1, a step for judging whether a signal characteristic of the reproduced signal obtained by reproducing the test data satisfies a reference condition and a step for determining the optimum reproducing power of the maser beam based on the judged result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
