PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small electronic device which can avoid uncomfortable sense of feeling when the user's body touches the device without the deterioration of its operability and reliability, and also to provide a cover to be mounted on the device. SOLUTION: A foldable portable telephone comprises a main body A and a cover B to be mounted on the main body A. The main body A includes a first casing 1 having a display unit 13, a second casing 2 having an operating section 21, and a foldable sheet 3 for securing one surfaces of the first and second casings 1 and 2 with the casings 1 and 2 separated by a specific spacing. The sheet 3 of the main body A has a flange 3A projected sideways from the first and second casings 1 and 2. The cover B has a bag-like periphery 51 which is bendable at an interconnection between the first and second casings 1 and 2 and can be mounted to the sheet section 3 with its outer edge engaged to the flange 3A.
