PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid valve capable of inhibiting the generation of chips in caulking and fixing a valve mechanism composed of a valve seat and a valve element in a base. SOLUTION: In this solenoid valve 10 comprising a coil 11, a cylindrical yoke 12 mounted coaxially with the coil 11, a case 13 for accommodating the coil 11 and the yoke 12, a cylindrical base 14 fixed to the case 13, a seat 15a mounted in the base 14, and a plunger 16 slidably supported in the coil 11 by one end side 16a, the base 14 has a step part S having projections P along the axial direction, and the seat 15a is fixed in the base 14 by deforming the projections P.
