PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool comprising a long article for putting on a waist-tight garment, and conveniently usable when forcibly wearing a garment with the small waist. SOLUTION: The method for putting on a waist-tight garment comprises using a long article for putting on the garment where a hook part 2 is provided at the tip of a long main body 1. The method comprises the following steps: passing the hook part 2 and the main body 1 through a button hole 4 while passing the hook part 2 and the main body 1 through a belt loop 6 at the side of the button hole 4, and thereafter the hook part 2 is hooked on a waist button 5; passing the end part of the main body 1 opposite to the hook part 2 through a belt loop 6 at the side of the waist button 5; and setting the waist button 5 in the button hole 4 while pulling the end part at the opposite side toward the center of the main body.
