The pipe system (10) consists of at least two co-axial pipe sections, one (20) of which is for the carrying of especially a gaseous medium and encompassed by a larger diameter outer pipe (14) in which is fixed a radially extending connecting element which has several retaining sections as groups at different distances from a middle point. The connecting element is formed as a closed ring from extruded wire with the ends of the connecting element permanently interconnected by welding.
