The A.C. generator plant of the parent Specification, when it comprises two main alternators, or a main alternator comprising two stator windings, is characterized by the addition of a three-phase current transformer to the power circuit of each main alternator or stator. As shown, a three-phase current transformer 25a or 25b is associated with each of two identical three-phase stator windings 24a or 24b; these transformers feed two rectifier bridges 29a and 29b connected to resistances 27a and 27b. When the outputs of the two stator windings differ, a signal appears at either point A or point B, depending on the direction of this difference, and is conducted to an electronic device or differential amplifier 12. Preferably, action occurs only when the signal exceeds a predetermined threshold value. This embodiment is, in effect, a modification of the embodiment of Fig. 7 of the parent Specification, the present current transformers taking the place of the voltage transformers shown in that Figure. |
