CYLINDRICAL BATTERY AND INTER-BATTERY CONNECTION STRUCTURE USING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a a cylindrical battery with an impact load carrying capacity by lowering an inner resistance through improvement of connection between an anode collector and a battery case. SOLUTION: In the cylindrical battery provided with an anode collector 8 welded to core material protruded parts 4 protruded downward of electrode groups 5 each with a cathode plate 1 and an anode plate 2 wound around with an interposition of a separator 6, and a metal case 9 storing the electrode groups inside and serving also as an input/output terminal of the anode, the anode collector 8 is of a bottomed cylindrical shape consisting of a bottom face part connected to the core material protruded parts 4 protruded downward and a cylindrical part in contact with the case 9. By forming a concave groove 12 around the case 9, the case 9 and a contact part of the cylindrical part of the anode collector 8 are mechanically connected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
