PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate latent heat transfer with a gas-liquid two-phase heating medium, in a heating roller with a conical surface, having a sealed chamber inside a wall, extending along inclination of a surface of a roll into which the gas-liquid two-phase heating medium is encapsulated. SOLUTION: The heating roller device comprises a hollow roll having a conical surface, a heating source arranged inside the hollow part of the roll and heating the roll, and a rotary drive shaft connected to the roll and rotatably driven around an axis of the roll. Inside the wall of a roll 11, a plurality of sealed chambers 18 extending along the inclination of the conical surface, into which gas-liquid two-phase heating medium 20 is encapsulated are arranged in the circumferential direction, and the heating source (magnetic flux generating mechanism) 15 is arranged towards the large diameter side of the roll 11. Gasification is accelerated by increasing the amount of heating to a portion where the liquid phase 20a is concentrated due to centrifugal force, and liquiefaction is accelerated by reducing the amount of heating to a portion where the liquid phase 20a is not concentrated.
