PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a photoreceptor drum is brought into contact with a transfer means and deposition of paper powder is suppressed although the apparatus has no discharging means. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with a charging means, an exposing means, a developing means, a transfer means and a paper powder removing means, all disposed around an electrophotographic photoreceptor drum, and has no cleaning means. The single layer type electrophotographic photoreceptor contains a compound expressed by a general formula (1) as a hole transport agent in a photosensitive layer. In the formula (1), R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>7</SB>are identical with one another or different from one another and each represents an aliphatic group, an aryl group or a hydrogen atom, and at least one in R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>5</SB>to R<SB>7</SB>is a≥3C aliphatic group, and n is 1 or 2.
