PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect components of a machine chamber in the distribution process from shipping, in a refrigerator used in such a state that the backside of the machine chamber is open. SOLUTION: A refrigerator having a machine chamber 7 in a lower back part of its body, comprising a compressor 1 and an evaporation tray 3 in the machine chamber 7 and used in the state where the backside of the machine chamber 7 is open without using a cover comprises a packing sheet 9 which covers the entire surface of the machine chamber 7 when the refrigerator is packed for shipping from a factory, so that the machine chamber 7 is covered with the packing material. Thus, the components of the machine chamber 7 can be protected from an external force in the distribution stage, and the breakage thereof can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
