PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water retention material resin composition for gardening having both excellent water-retention characteristics and mothproofing function when applied to plant growing. SOLUTION: A water-retention resin whose water absorption of pure water for a dry solid resin is 3 to 50 times is addition-treated with a mothproofing agent having penetrating migration characteristics.
