PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the clogging of chips in a gash of the chips generated by a bottom blade. SOLUTION: In this end mill, the gash 8 is formed in a tip side opening groove part of a chip discharge groove 4 of the tip part outer periphery of an end mill body 1, and the bottom blade 10 is formed in a tip side edge angle part of a bottom blade rake surface 9 of this gash 8. At least one of a crossing ridgeline part 15 of the bottom blade rake surface 19 and a gash bottom surface 12 and a crossing ridgeline part 16 of the gash bottom surface 12 and a gash wall surface 13, is formed in a concave curve shape in a cross section orthogonal to the extending direction of the crossing ridgeline parts 15 and 16. A radius of curvature of a concave curve formed by the cross section of these crossing ridgeline parts 15 and 16, is formed larger than the inner peripheral side on the outer peripheral side of the end mill body 1.
