PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine having a magnet connected with a shaft pulley through a fixing member without coming off from a fixed position even if oscillation produced by action of the washing machine is transmitted over a long time to the magnet for detecting the number of rotations of the washing machine. SOLUTION: The washing machine comprises a drive motor which produces turning force, a wash shaft which is rotated by the drive motor, a belt 18 and the shaft pulley which transmit to the wash shaft turning force from the drive motor, the magnet 61 installed in the shaft pulley so as to rotate with the shaft pulley, and the stationary member 63 having one end installed in the axial pulley and other end installed in the magnet for fixing the magnet to the shaft pulley.
