PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain toner having excellent mechanical strength and suppressed environmental dependency of charging characteristics by an easy method. SOLUTION: Polyester resin is obtained by polymerization of 1,9-nonanediol and dimethyl terephthalate, wherein crystalline polyester having 7,200 average molecular weight and 3.8 dispersion degree is obtained. A reaction chamber is charged with the polyester, pure water and an additive such as a colorant and pressurized up to the atmospheric pressure+0.2 (MPa) at 130°C. High shearing force is added to the mixture to prepare an emulsion liquid containing polyester dispersion having 0.3μm particle size, which is cooled to 20°C to aggregate the dispersion to obtain 3μm particle size. The obtained dispersion product is dried, to which an external additive is added to obtain the toner without pulverizing the resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
