PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handheld tool with a disk blade which can be conveniently used without enlarging the protruding amount of the disk blade beyond a cover body. SOLUTION: The handheld tool A with the disk blade includes a body 1 having a handle part 12 extended in a fixed direction, the blade 2 rotatably supported at a distal end part of the body 1, the cover body 3 disposed so as to be at least partially overlap with the disk blade 2 in the thickness direction, and an operation part 4 capable of reciprocally operating in the fixed direction, and the cover body 3 is freely switchable to a first state of blocking the protrusion of the entire periphery of the outer peripheral edge of the disk blade 2 and a second state where the cover body 3 is moved back closer to the rear part of the handle part 12 compared to the time of the first state and a part of the outer peripheral edge is protruded. A guide mechanism C for moving back the cover body 3 in a direction obliquely inclined to the fixed direction when the operation part 4 is operated so as to switch from the first state to the second state is provided.
