PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer interface which can appropriately dissipate generated heat without being affected by a tolerance with respect to manufacturing or assembling. SOLUTION: A thermal spreader forms a plurality of passages and fitting lips. Each pin has a head, a shaft and a barb shaft end. A part of the shaft is located in the passage, and in order to form a gap with the inner face of the passage, pinheads substantially conform as a whole to the macroscopic surface of an object connected to the pinheads, so that thermal energy is transferred from an object to the spreader through the gap in the passage formed between the spreader and each of a plurality of the pins. When spring elements are not compressed, the barb shaft end of each pin is engaged with the fitting lip to retain the pin to the thermal spreader. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
