PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reexamine a configuration of the whole thermostat device, reduce the number of constituent parts of each part, improve assembly property and machining property, reduce cost, miniaturize the whole device, and reduce its weight. SOLUTION: A locking part 26a locking a tip part of a piston rod in a cap 26 extended in the coaxial direction with slide of a piston rod 21a, a supporting part supporting a frame 25 holding an end part of a coil spring 24 energizing a valve element 23 in the direction of seating, and a mounting structure part tightened and fixed to a cooling water channel on an outside diameter side of the supporting part of the frame are integrally formed in a flangelike part 27 in a thermostat 20.
