PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic actuator capable of suppressing demagnetization of a permanent magnet. SOLUTION: In a stator core 33, a coil 34 is stored in a coil storage part 33e, and the permanent magnet 36 is provided in the inner peripheral side. Between the permanent magnet 36 and the coil 34, an inner side core part 33a of the stator core 33 is provided. At an end part in the movable core 21 side of the permanent magnet 36 and the inner side core part 33a, a magnetic body 37 is provided. When an electric current is not supplied to the coil 34, the movable core 21 moves in the direction to separate from the permanent magnet 36, due to elastic force of a spring 50. When an electric current in a predetermined direction is supplied to the coil 34, due to magnetic flux flowing the movable core 21 and the stator core 33, the movable core 21 overcomes the elastic force of the spring 50, and moves in the direction to approach the permanent magnet 36. At this time, the direction of the magnetic flux flowing in the inner side core part 33a of the stator core 33 by the coil 34 is equal to the direction of the magnetic flux inside the permanent magnet 36.
