PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability for a user by appropriately combining input selector switching and a change of an operation mode of a remote control device and appropriately performing independent operation on one hand representatively in a remote control device and a device to be remotely controlled in an AV system or the like and in a remote control system composed thereof. SOLUTION: In the remote control system of the present invention, operability for the user is improved by switching a state of a control function of a selectively determined control device for switching of an input selector of the device to be remotely controlled and the change of the control mode of the remote control device.
