PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in the consumables of a printer due to long-term nonuse. SOLUTION: A control part 11 obtains the final print date of the printer which is set as a nonoperational printer, based on a printer management table stored in a ROM 13. Then the present date is obtained, so as to determine whether the final print date coincides with the present date or not. When the final print date of the nonoperational printer is not coincident with the present date, the nonoperational printer is temporarily set as an operational printer, and image data to be printed is outputted to the set printer.
