PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio reproducing apparatus capable of reducing unnecessary power consumption as much as possible. SOLUTION: The audio reproducing device 1 comprises: a bridge output circuit 34 consisting of FETs 341-344; a power supply circuit 70 for supplying power to the bridge output circuit 34, gate drive circuits 32, 33 for driving the FETs 341-344 in accordance with an audio signal; and a microcomputer 50 to be functioned not only as an integrated control means for respective parts of the apparatus but also as a silence judgment means of the audio signal. In the audio reproducing device 1, the power voltage of the bridge output circuit 34 is variably controlled based on the silence judgement result of the microcomputer 50. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
