PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hook supporting structure having good durability and equipped with a stable strength even for a load applied aslant. SOLUTION: The hook supporting structure is configured so that a plurality of steel balls 7 for supporting a hanging load are loosely fitted as capable of rolling between a groove 5 having a semi-circular arc section formed circumferentially at one end in axial direction of the upper shaft part 3 of a hook body 2 and a groove 6 having a semi-circular arc section formed circumferentially at one end in axial direction of a shaft hole 4 in a housing 1, while a hard bearing material 9 to be fitted rotatably on the other end in axial direction of the upper shaft part 3 is fitted in a groove 8 for bearing formed stretching in the circumferential direction at the other end in axial direction of the shaft hole 4 in the housing 1, wherein the ratio L/D is set to the extent 1 to 2, where L is the spacing between the steel balls 7 and the bearing material 9 and D is the diameter of the upper shaft part 3.
