<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide resin for a printing ink, making it possible that a film formed out of the ink has an increased strength and is resistant against impact, etc., from the outside, and printing speed of the ink is increased, while maintaining such a conventional performance that the polyamide resin is soluble in a mixed solution of a hydrocarbon-based solvent and an alcoholic solvent not containing an aromatic solvent, and to provide the printing ink. <P>SOLUTION: This polyamide resin for the printing ink is obtained by conducting condensation reaction of an acid component with a polyamine component and has a molecular weight of≥10,000, wherein the acid component contains a 1-4C aliphatic monocarboxylic acid, further contains a polymerized fatty acid, and has a ratio of the 1-4C aliphatic monocarboxylic acid to the total acid components of 5-15 eq%, and the polyamine component contains at least one kind selected from an aromatic polyamine and a polyalkylene polyamine and further contains an alkylene polyamine.
