PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic level gage with enhanced accuracy of ultrasonic measurement, for example, by uniformly providing an inner circumferential surface of a nozzle with steps comprising projections and recesses to remove echoes coming from places other than a medium under measurement as far as possible, as to an ultrasonic level gage for measuring the medium under measurement by means of ultrasonic echoes. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic level gage is equipped with at least a forward opened cylindrical nozzle for guiding ultrasonics toward the medium under measurement housed in a container, and an ultrasonic sensor equipped with a piezoelectric vibrator for generating the ultrasonics at a base part position of the nozzle while being equipped with a reception means for receiving reflected ultrasonics. The inner circumferential surface of the nozzle is uniformly provided with the steps each having a depth equal to 1/(4λ) of a wavelengthλin a propagation medium of the ultrasonics transmitted by the piezoelectric vibrator.
