PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the mounting structure for a sound insulating wall shortening a construction period and reducing costs in the new installation of the sound insulating wall and in repair work after an accident by reducing the number of parts and working man-hours. SOLUTION: A cover 10 is composed of a fixed side panel 10A formed in approximately L-shape comprising an upper face part 10a with both longitudinal ends placed on receiving faces formed of the upper faces of reinforcing ribs 13 between both posts 3, 3, and a side face part 10b on the anti-driveway side B, while another side face is opened (10c); and a screening panel 10B detachably mounted to the opening 10c side edge part of the fixed side panel 10A by bolts and nuts 14 to close the opening 10c part of the fixed side panel 10A. Both longitudinal ends of the upper face part 10a of the cover 10 are respectively formed with two slits 10d, 10d that can be engaged in the inserted state of both flange parts 3a, 3a of H-shape steel constituting a post 3.
