The system has a global positioning system (15) determining real position of a vehicle. A management center (10) has databases with guidelines related to each route segment and to driving rules to be followed on the segment. A rules determining unit (16) determines the rules according to the vehicle position and information from the center. A comparing unit (17) compares behavior of the vehicle and the rules. An independent claim is also included for a computer-assisted driving method.
