PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can perform counting for six colors when making the video value counter function correspond to six colors without preparing counters for additional two counters. SOLUTION: The toner amount for the M', C' components are estimated from the concentration of the M, C signals by using the M', C' look-up table (LUT). The pre-stage selector selects the LUT output from the M' and C' judge signals 10430, 10431 and transfers it to the shared integrating counters 10407, 10419. The integrating counter is reset each time the M', C' judge signals are changed and starts counting to integrate the toner estimation. The count is transmitted to the selector of the following stage and stored in the integrated toner amount buffer of each color selected by the selector for the M', C' judge signals. The stored integrated toner amount data are stored in the integrated toner amount storage for each color using the switching of the M', C' judge signals as the trigger. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
