PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling transplanter settled on the problem that a covering soil-tamping wheel is required to freely lift and lower according to unevenness of the ridge surface and to be preferably lifted when rotating the body. SOLUTION: The seedling transplanter has a covering soil-tamping wheel (8) for covering and tamping the soil around the transplanted seedlings, wherein the wheel (8) is lifted higher than the working position when the body is lifted through an interlocking element (49) interlocked with lifting and lowering of the covering soil-tamping wheel (8) and the wheel (8) is lowered to the working position when the body is lowered, and the wheel (8) is set freely liftable and lowerable within the limits of an oblong hole (50) set on the interlocking element (49).
