The tip-up skip (1)has between its base (2) and side walls (3) rounded inner corners (7) with rearwardly decreasing radii (R,r) to smooth out loads more easily. The transition between base and side walls has a variable radius which is larger in the vicinity of the front part of the skip and reduces progressively backwards.
