PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform proofing by a memory with a small capacity even when an original image is represented by using a plurality of specific colors. SOLUTION: This image processor 1 has an arithmetic processor 2 that calculates a proofing image signal for proofing, by a second display 8, representation colors at a time when an original image of colors output on a first display 6 is represented by a printer 7. The arithmetic processor 2 calculates matching information between each signal value of device-dependent colors of the first display 6 and device-independent colors when a first color conversion profile 21 for converting an original image signal for the first display 6 to a representation image signal for the printer 7 is formed by performing color gamut mapping. The arithmetic processor 2 forms a second color conversion profile 22 for converting the original image signal to the proof image signal based on the matching information.
