PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vapor-liquid separator the vapor-liquid separation efficiency of which can be kept high by efficiently separating the condensed water flowing down along the inner peripheral wall surface of a steam pipeline. SOLUTION: A steam trap 9 is connected to an opening 7 formed in the lower end part of the steam pipeline 1. A cylindrical porous member 3 is abutted smoothly on the inner peripheral wall surface 2 of the steam pipeline 1 and is formed to have the diameter to be widened toward the downstream direction. A cover 4 is arranged on the outer periphery of the porous member 3 across a space 13. Another steam trap 15 is connected to the lower end part of the cover 4 and a low-pressure connection pipe 16 is fit to the upper end part of the cover 4. The condensed water flowing down along the lower wall surface of the steam pipeline 1 is discharged to the outside by the opening 7 and the steam trap 9, and the condensed water flowing in this vapor-liquid separator 5 is made to pass through the porous member 3 and discharged to the outside by the steam trap 15, so that the condensed water can be separated from steam.
