PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cheaply achieve authentication using one-time passwords. SOLUTION: An authentication server 30, upon receiving via a reader device 20 a variable ID sent from a cellular phone 40, sends the variable ID to an authentication information providing server 10. An extracting part 15 of the authentication information providing server 10 causes a telephone number stored correspondingly to the variable ID to be extracted from a variable ID management database according to the variable ID received, and a sending part 16 sends the extracted telephone number to the authentication server 30. Thereby authentication information used in the authentication of the cellular phone 40 is provided to the authentication server 30. The authentication server 30 authenticates the cellular phone 40 according to the telephone number received, and implements the process of unlocking or opening/closing a door on which the reader device 20 is mounted.
