PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a leakage of a liquid crystal immediately after bonding of substrates by shortening processing time for sealing part formation. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal device includes a step S2 to apply one part of a sealing member to a color filter substrate, a step S4 to apply the other part of the sealing member to a TFT substrate placed opposite to the color filter substrate, a step S5 to form a liquid crystal layer on the TFT substrate with a dropping method, and a step S6 to stick both substrates to each other and to harden the sealing member.
