The transport device (1) has a security container (2) and a fixing device for direct or indirect attachment of the security container to the body of the automobile, provided by a rigid base part and a locking part (3.2) for the container, secured to the base part via at least 2 couplings (3.3,3.4) which can only be released when the security container is open or by using a key. The fixing device can be secured to the body of the automobile via a child seat holder (8).
