PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry immunity analysis element for rapidly and easily detecting protein in a specimen, especially prion protein, and to provide a method for detecting prions by using the dry immunity analysis element. SOLUTION: The dry immunity analysis element, having at least one water penetrating layer for detecting prion in the specimen, contains a coupled body between an enzyme with a macromolecular substance as a substrate and an antiprion antibody or its one portion (1); and the macromolecular substance that is the substrate of the enzyme (2). In the dry immunity analysis element, the coupled body between the enzyme and the antiprion antibody or its one portion, has a layer for detecting the substance generated by operating the macromolecular substance.
