PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and thin optical disk device adapted to prevent the permanent deformation of a drive shaft for driving an optical pickup caused by vibration during the transportation of the optical disk device or user's carrying, or shocks during falling even when the drive shaft of a feed mechanism is formed small in diameter. SOLUTION: This optical disk device is constructed in such a manner that a support member is arranged with a predetermined distance from the outer surface of an optical pickup part, and a fluctuation width at the abnormal operation time of the optical pickup part is kept within the resistant force of the drive shaft.
