PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of coating a manhole lid 1 and a frame 5 which are excellent in adhesiveness, corrosion resistance, and design, the method carried out by electrostatic-coating epoxy resin powder paint containing fine particles of alloys composed of one or two or more elements selected from among zinc, aluminum, and magnesium, only on rear surfaces of the manhole lid 1 and the frame 5. SOLUTION: Only the rear surfaces of the manhole lid 1 and the frame 5 are abrasive-blasted and preheated, and then electrostatic-coated with the epoxy resin powder paint containing the fine particles of the alloys composed of one or two or more elements selected from among zinc, aluminum, and magnesium, to thereby form a coated film 2. If a black color is required, the coated film 2 is further electrostatic-coated with the epoxy resin powder paint containing a black pigment, and then baked. In this manner, the manhole lid 1 and the frame 5 which are excellent in corrosion resistance, adhesiveness, surface hardening degree, and design, are obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
