PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic transducer element that is reduced in size so as to reduce its mounting area and thickness. SOLUTION: The pellet 5 of a Hall element is constituted of a substrate made of a high-permeability magnetic material, has a structure in which a magnetism sensing section is held between chips made of the high-permeability magnetic materials, and is fixed to a divided lead frame 4. In addition, metallic coating films 2 are formed on connecting electrodes provided on the rear surface of a lead frame 4a having a first thickness a, and the cross section of the lead frame 4a exposed when the lead frame 4a is cut is exposed on the side face of the electromagnetic transducer element. Therefore, the electromagnetic transducer element can be reduced in thickness by removing a molded section from the bottom of the lead frame. In addition, the rear surface of the lead frame 4a to which the pellet 5 for electromagnetic transducer element is fixed can be prevented from being exposed to the rear surface of the element.
