PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seawater pump storage method capable of properly storing, in fresh water, a seawater pump under stoppage for a long period. SOLUTION: The fresh water is supplied into a casing 14 surrounding the shaft 12 and the impeller 13 of the seawater pump 11 to replace seawater with the fresh water in the casing 14. When the seawater pump 11 is stored with the shaft 12 and the impeller 13 immersed in the fresh water, first the fresh water in an amount equal to the amount of the seawater in the casing 14 is supplied into the casing 14. Then, the fresh water slightly larger in volume than the amount of water varying in the casing 14 in a period starting at a low tide to a high tide is always supplemented in a time starting at the low tide to the high tide.
