Cable termination for wire cable used for lifting, nautical or architectural applications, provided by steel termination sleeve with internal screw thread and cable reception seating at opposite ends of through bore

The cable termination is provided by a steel termination sleeve (1) having a concentric through bore (2) provided at one side with an internal screw thread (3) for an end screw of bolt and at the other side with a reception seating (4) for the wire cable, having a depth which is at least 4 times the cable diameter. The penetration depth of the cable is limited by a restriction or a stepped bore (5) in the centre of the termination sleeve, or by a stop pin fitted through a transverse bore. The reception seating has an inner diameter which is between 0.2 and 0.6 mm greater than the cable diameter, an outer diameter of between 25 and 85 % greater than the cable diameter and a wall thickness of between 1 and 3 mm.
