TIMING VARIATION DETECTOR AND TIMING VARIATION DETECTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable detection of shift of the rotation period of a conveyor chain. SOLUTION: In an initial state having no occurrence of phase shift between conveyer devices, based on detected pulses outputted from each encoder, a reference pulse number P2 in a time period T2 from the standing of a pulse of a reference conveyor to the standing of a pulse of a box packing conveyor 2 and a reference pulse number P3 in a time period T3 from the standing of the pulse of the reference conveyor to the standing of a pulse of a delivering conveyor 13 are counted and stored. By observing variation of reference pulse numbers P2' and P3' in respective time periods T2 and T3 from the reference pulse numbers P2 and P3 in the initial state, it is determined whether phase shift occurs in the other conveyor from the reference conveyor.
