摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell that is suppressed in series resistance and is high in conversion efficiency.

SOLUTION: The solar cell contains a p-type semiconductor layer (3), an n-type semiconductor layer (4), and a transparent electrode film (6) in this order. The p- and n-type semiconductor layers (3) and (4) form a p-n junction and the p-type semiconductor layer (3) functions as a light absorbing layer. The n-type semiconductor layer (4) does not contain Cd, but contains a Zn-containing compound. In addition, a high resistance layer (5) containing a Zn oxide and having volume resistivity of ≥104Ωcm is disposed between the n-type semiconductor layer (4) and the transparent electrode film (6).
