PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel and an imaging apparatus having advantage in miniaturization. SOLUTION: A 2nd lens barrel split body 1204 and a 3rd lens barrel split body 1206 are attached by a male screw 204 in a position close to the right side face. A female screw member 48, a supporting plate 3408 and the male screw 204 are arranged so that the contour of the head part 204A of the male screw 204 may overlap the contour of the female screw member 48, and also, the contour of the head part 204A of the male screw 204 may be positioned outside the contour of the supporting plate 3408, viewing from a direction parallel to the optical axis direction of an optical system.
