Air chamber (3) with former (4) for roof-mounted extractor or impeller units which is formed on its lower part by the roof (1), on the upper part by the peripheral skirt (2) of the extractor unit and at the sides by a former (4) which connects the body of the extractor or impeller with the interior of the building through a perforation implemented in the roof (1). The constitution of said air chamber (3) by means of the former (4) avoids the formation of turbulence, with the ensuing drop in pressure and reduction in the efficiency of the extractor or impeller, it also prevents the penetration of air and water to the interior of the building and therefore it also obviates the consequent sealing of the skirt (2) to the roof, having a finish which does not require finishing. The geometry of the body of the extractor and of the former (4) are identical, as well as the geometry of the perforation implemented in the roof (1) and that of the former (4), which are also the same. <IMAGE>
