The final result of most intraocular ophthalmic surgeries depends, to a great extent, on a suitable and sustained mydriasis, which allows the inner structures of the eye to be displayed, and in most cases the positioning of devices as intraocular implants. Even though the drugs used for achieving the induction and maintenance of the mydriasis during the ophthalmic surgery are well known, there is no product that presents the ideal composition and concentration in a single dose on account of the efficiency, effectiveness and safety thereof. Moreover, the traditional practice consists in applying the different drugs in several occasions, which results uncomfortable for the patient and requires special attention by the health personnel. The present invention provides a mydriatic formula with physicochemical stability, which is intended for achieving a suitable effect (induction and maintenance of the mydriasis) by means of a single application during the preoperative period and reducing the potential risk of contamination upon being presented in a package that contains the correct volume intended for a single application.
