An animated message is delivered to a mobile terminal 10 from a source e.g. advertisement services server S1, which accepts and stores content from content providers S2-S4, e.g. news, sport and images. The server S1 also stores object, executable and script files. The server S1 also interfaces with a subscriber database DB1. An advertisement application may be sent to the terminal 10 associated with a set of instructions which causes the terminal to run the advertisement, which will include an animated image. The advertisement application may also request subscriber data, sent via SMA to server S1 for storage. The system may also allow actions to be taken on a change in operational status. For example, on reaching a particular point in the playing of a trial version of a game, an animated advertisement may be sent inviting purchase. If the user purchases the full game, an unlock code can be sent after authentication, allowing full access. |
