FIELD: hard drives engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: device for erasing record from carriers on hard magnetic drives has means for forming erasing magnetic field connected to power source, placed in such a way, that vector of magnetic field formed by it lies in plane of hard magnetic drive. Erasing magnetic field envelopes a portion of hard magnetic drive, lying outside area of magnetic heads displacement. In erasing mode enabling of means for forming erasing magnetic field is enabled as well as for rotation drive for hard drive.
