FIELD: timber industry; production of band mills. ^ SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to band mills for sawing up of timber. The machine consists of two pairs of the driving and strain band wheels with a band stretched between them in a working zone of a sawing by the saw band. The pairs of the driving and strain band wheels are closed by a kinematic link consisting of the interlinked gearboxes located on the shafts of the band wheels with a different reduction ratio allowing to maintain the band stretching between pairs of the driving and strain band wheels. The technical result is decreased power consumption used for the band stretching. ^ EFFECT: the invention ensures decreased power consumption used for the band stretching. ^ 2 dwg
